Gravity defying water!

Today for our Science we explored the force of gravity. We tipped a container of water over and nothing came out!! Well for some of them anyway!

After our experiment we discussed why the water stayed in the container. Here are our reasons why:

• suction - paper to water

• air bubbles make the paper pop off

• gravity is a force

• when the paper is balanced the water stays still

• the water changed it's normal movement - it didn't spill out

• the water sucks the paper to make it stick

• gravity is heavy

• when the paper goes soggy the suction doesn't work
