Speed Writing

We were given a sentence starter. We had only 3 minutes to write and 2 minutes to edit! Amazing what we can achieve under this sort of pressure! A lot of great writing was shared, including these little gems from Penelope, who has worked so hard to improve her writing.

My new friend is…..Emma. She is so cool and friendly and not a fake friend. She is awesome to be a real friend of mine.

There was something in the school pool…..I think it was a bee. “Everyone out!” yelled the teacher. I looked at it again. Oh, it was a leaf. “Everyone in again!”

My phone rang….. And it was mum. “Hello mum” I said. “How are you?” said mum. “Good” I said. “That’s great” said mum. “What about you?”
