Who are you friends? In Mrs Whitta's 3 star group we were looking at the differences between saying that we have 1 friend, 2 friends or 3+ friends. This introduced the kupu raua and ratou. This group of tamariki were exceptional at picking up the differences. They also have beautiful pronunciation so it was a pleasure listening to them korero with each other.
The first part of the activity was going around the porowhita saying the the next person with their friends. Tuarua, the tamariki introduced the next 2 people as their friends. Tuatoru, they introduced the next 3 tamariki (or more in some cases) as being their friends.
The second part of the activity was when the tamariki got into their own ropu and spoke about their friends.
Ava and Ryla decided to write their korero down. Ataahua enei mahi - beautiful work!
