TERM TWO
URURANGI
WEEK ONE
Ururangi is back up and running for Term Two. In this space, the kids get the chance to express their creativity. Today we had children working on learning new art techniques, building mazes to navigate with a sphero and some friends even programmed their sphero to go to the different locations on the Sphero City map. It was great to see the kids interacting with each other and problem solving along the way.
Keep it up kids! I hope to see more of you in Ururangi soon.
WEEK TWO
Another busy week in Ururangi this week. The Spheros are still proving to be a popular activity.
We also had lots of children coming down to use Blob Opera.
You can try using Blob Opera by clicking this link:
WEEK THREE
Woo hoo! Orange on the Traffic Light System in NZ, means cooking in POUTAMA!!!
The kids have been cooking up a storm to celebrate! Nachos and cake pops were on the menu today.
Have you booked into Ururangi to cook yet?
WEEK FOUR
It has been a busy week in Ururangi this week. We had the EPro 8 kit in Poutama. Mrs Lunn added it to the Ururangi Booking Sheet so we can book in to use it. There is also a link to the EPro 8 site so that the children can complete some of the challenges.
Spheros and opting to complete Art, continued to be a popular choice.
WEEK FIVE
Creativity has been alive and well in Poutama this week. Mrs Lunn introduced us to TINKERCAD. This is amazing 3D design tool. It is wonderful to see so many clever creations being designed by our students. We are loving having Tupu-a-rangi set us as a quiet recording space. Some of the girls were using the green screen to make a video of their story.
We have also had kids baking this week! Estela and her friends made Lemon biscuits and they were DELICIOUS!
Check out Liam's creation!
WEEK SIX AND SEVEN
It's been a busy couple of weeks in Ururangi. Mrs Lunn was away in Week Six but we still had a great time signing up to express our creativity.
In Week Seven, we were cooking up a storm! Alex, Amber, Jacob and Amelia made delicious Octopus Sausages.
WEEK EIGHT AND NINE
The kitchen has been a hive of activity this week. The girls made a delicious slice. We have had chocolate cake too!
The E-Pro 8 kit has been popular too!
WEEK TEN
The boys have been busy in Ururangi this week. Inspired by Mrs Spiers and her Jurassic World Maths activity, they made their own JURASSIC WORLD! Check it out!
