During the week, we got to know our classroom spaces a bit better. With a group of friends we went into each space and investigated what furniture was in there and found out about what will happen in there. We needed to complete an organiser in order to decide if that space is:
Collaborative
Creative or
Quiet.
What we did discover is that the purpose for the space can change. For example, Te Pae O Matariki is a creative space where we do our Inquiry and Writing but at other times, it will be a quiet space were we come together and listen to the teachers.
Here is what we collectively came up with for each of our spaces. These are on display in each room so that we remember:
